Anne Hathaway’s First Picture in Batman - The actress will play Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises’. Anne Hathaway is already wearing the uniform of ‘Catwoman‘ to shoot the new Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises“ , which will premiere next summer.

We have seen the first image of the actress in a scene from the film in driving a motorcycle, all thanks to the Internet leaked images of fans who snuck on the set of filming in Pittsburgh.

The producer has not revealed if Selina Kyle (Catwoman) will be a secretariat and Michelle Pfeiffer starred in the film by Tim Burton or a prostitute as in the comic.

‘Paul’ – Comedy Sci-Fi at its Best - For movie fans who love comedy and science fiction, you’d be hard-pushed to find a film that combines the two genres so well. ‘Paul’, released this year, showcases two of our greatest talents in Simon Pegg (who plays Graeme Willy) and Nick Frost (Clive Gollings). They have worked together before, and reveal an easy natural partnership that adds pure realism to any film.

The main protagonist of this film is Paul, a little alien (voiced by Seth Rogen) that they pick up from the scene of a car crash that happens on the road in front of them as they flee from hunters whose vehicle they have damaged. Paul is in dire straits and Graeme offers him a lift, much to the consternation of Clive. Through the course of the film, Paul reveals that he was previously captured by the Government and, due to his exceptional knowledge and expertise in the field of science, they had used him to enable them to make huge advances in the world. He makes many claims, including the fact that the film, E.T., was an idea that he suggested to director, Steven Spielberg.

As time went on the Government realised that they could advance further with Paul’s brain, but without him as its owner. Paul learns that there are plans afoot to remove his brain and, having used a contact at Area 51 to send a plea for help to his own people, he manages to escape. What follows is a cat-and-mouse chase that is exciting, funny, and, at times, very moving. It involves dodgy government agents, a highly incompetent pair of FBI officers, Moses, father to Ruth, a campsite owner in whom Paul confides, making it necessary for Graeme and Clive to kidnap her, and Tara, a woman who played an important part in Paul’s earlier life.

This is a very enjoyable, well-directed movie, and those viewers who love the idea of ultimately friendly aliens will fall in love with Paul. Not to be missed.Similar Posts:

Spielberg to Direct War Horse

The rumour mill is rife with speculation that Steven Spielberg has finally picked his new film and that it will be an adaptation of the novel War Horse.

The movie will be based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, which was recently adapted for the stage and has just been extended to run at the New London Theatre in the West End, until October 2011. The theatre show has attracted a lot of attention due to the use of puppetry from the Handspring Puppet Company, which really brings the horses to life on the stage and has wowed critics by bringing the horse-eye view of the story to life.

The story is set in the First World War and follows the story of Albert and his beloved horse Joey who is sold to the cavalry and sent over to France to help the war effort. Young Albert then enlists in the army and follows Joey to France. The story is one of bravery and loyalty and will no doubt make an excellent transition to the big screen and will hopefully capture the attention of audiences all over the UK, as the show at the New London Theatre has with the stage show.

Spielberg is no stranger to war films, having already tackled the subject of the Second World War with films such as Saving Private Ryan. He was reported as saying: “Its heart and its message provide a story that can be felt in every country.”

The silver screen adaptation of War Horse is due to hit screens by august 2011 and will be the second Spielberg film to be released next year, with the eagerly anticipated 3D film The Adventures of Tin-Tin: The Secret of the Unicorn also due to be released in December 2011.Similar Posts:

Best Dressed Celebrities: BAFTA 2010

It was a big event on February 21 – British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTA) 2010 – held at the Royal Opera House in London, England. Lots of celebrities attended it and some got their trophies. But everyone looked beautiful. And my task now is to show you the dresses I liked the most on the red carpet.
I’ll begin with Kristen Stewart. She wasn’t the best-dressed and her look seemed unfinished but she is the star of Twilight, the saga I liked so much, so she is the first on my list. Kristen looked good in short white strapless Chanel dress and a pair of matching heels. I do think she looks better in jeans.

Kate Winslet couldn’t miss this exciting event and appeared on the red carpet looking elegant and classy. I liked her black dress with lacy insets very much!

Vera Farmiga looked brilliant in a white assymetrical Marchesa gown. The dress was so cute that Vera was an absolute stand out for me!

Another Twightlight and New Moon star Anna Kendrick wore a yellow Pucci dress to the party and looked lovely! The embroidery in front was beautiful.

Joely Richardson who arrived to support her mother showed off her beauty in a blue satin Katherine Walker gown with silver shoulder details. She matched her dress with a pair of black shoes and a pretty little clutch.

Claire Danes opted for a silver frock that looked a bit too elaborate in design. Jewelry pieces she wore to match the dress added glamour to her look.

Carey Mulligan dazzled in a flower-prited dress that revealed her shoulders. A pair of black sandals completed the attire.

Anne Marie Duff blended with the red carpet wearing a scarlet dress by Alberta Ferretti that covered her baby bump beautifully.

Kristin Scott Thomas went a simplier path and chose a black classy beaded dress by Louis Vuitton she looked fabulous in. As it was rather cold she took a fur boa to cover herself.
