David Gates was right when he said that “a picture paints a thousand words.” And it’s fair to say that at least some of those words, when the picture in question is part of a fashion pictorial, describe a publication’s desired audience.
For Elle US that demographic would appear to target the career woman. Remember her? The 80s and 90s dream (or so I’m told) for all women. A dream that upcoming generations simply don’t share. Hence, Elle’s career woman focussed pictorial, featuring model Hilary Rhoda, in their April 2010 issue may not only fail to appeal, it mightn’t even be understood.

A very interesting packaging for this mini player vynile “GGRP Sound” built in a card sleeve and intended to be sent to the creative directors in Canada. Developed by Gray agency Vancouver, on an artistic direction of Andrew McKinley.

A collaboration between the brand Eastpak and designers Quinze & Milan. The range includes the sofa with many padded pockets for storing books, computers and remote controls. Produced in limited quantities, and presented during the Milan Design Week 2010.

On the occasion of the exhibition Passagen 2010, following the installation designed by the German company Lichtfront. Dubbed “Augmented Sculpture”, it is a multi-projection from 4 sources combining both forms and textures. The graphics are done in After Effects.

After six months of research and spending a week in the French capital, Mark Andrew Webber has spent over 2 months on this project. The goal is to model an aerial view of Paris as a typographic engraving. More images to discover afterwards.

A graduate of the photography section of the school Gobelins, Alexis Raimbault is winner of the Prix France Young Creative Chevrolet. His work is divided between advertising and editorial achievements. He recently worked for the Casio brand and the magazine Fun.

We’re seeing so many shoots centered around army and utility, giving further weight to the transition of the military trend into something less ostentatious, and more understated. Glamour France’s G.I Jane may be hanging out in the jungle, but she’s also perfectly street-ready in wearable khaki colours, cool mesh pieces, short skirts and relaxed-fit pants.
